This past week, our church was abuzz with energy, joy, and the laughter of children as we hosted our "Scuba" Vacation Bible School. It was a week filled with fun, learning, and most importantly, love. The theme of our VBS was rooted in the deep and unfailing love of God, a love that is ever-present and never falters.
Reflecting on 1 Corinthians 13:8, we are reminded that love is the greatest and most enduring gift we can offer. This message ties beautifully into our Great Summer Lovefest, where we have focused on loving everyone, everywhere, always. The love that Paul speaks of is not just a fleeting feeling, but a steadfast commitment to care for and uplift one another. This enduring love was manifest in the actions of our church family during VBS week. Whether it was through the volunteers who generously gave their time, the teachers who imparted wisdom, or the children who opened their hearts to new experiences, love was at the center of it all.
A Week of Joy and Learning: Our children had an incredible time diving into the underwater adventures of "Scuba" VBS. Here are some of the highlights they shared:
"My favorite part was the water games!"
"I love seeing Sharkey!"
"The mac n cheese was SO GOOD!"
"Ms. Corinne's experiment where the water disappeared was SO COOL!"
"Lighthouse is my favorite song to sing and dance to!"
These moments of joy and wonder are testaments to the love and dedication of our volunteers. Their efforts made this week memorable and impactful for the children. The love they poured into every activity, lesson, and meal reflects the love of Christ, which never fails.
A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who made "Scuba" VBS possible. Your commitment and love have sown seeds of faith and joy in the hearts of these children.
We invite everyone to join us this Sunday, July 28th at 9:30 AM, for VBS Sunday, where we will come together to worship and celebrate all that our children have learned. It will be a wonderful opportunity to hear their stories, see their excitement, and witness the love that has been shared throughout this week. Let us come together as a church family to continue supporting and nurturing our children, showing them that God's love is unwavering and everlasting.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the incredible week we had at "Scuba" Vacation Bible School. We are grateful for the joy, learning, and love that filled our church. We pray for Your continued blessings on our children, volunteers, and entire congregation. May Your love, which never fails, continue to guide and inspire us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
