Principles of Grateful Giving

God’s grace continuously flows to us, blessing us and sustaining us.  In recognition of that spiritual reality, the Bible encourages us to be good stewards of our time, talents, and money.  Good financial stewardship includes two distinct and complimentary elements.

First, one should give, on an ongoing basis, a portion of one’s current income to the church to support our shared ministries as Christians.  Second, one should give extraordinary gifts in response to times in our lives when we feel especially blessed, or at times when we recognize the effects of God’s continuous gift of grace to each of us.

We may appreciate how blessed we are at any time, but especially upon events such as the birth of a child, a career change, retirement, the healing of an illness, or at the end of life.
